Xeomin

What is Xeomin?

Xeomin is a purified form of Botox. Botox and Xeomin are made of the same neurotoxin called Botulinum Toxin A.

How does it Work?

This neurotoxin can stop the muscle movement that causes these wrinkles, allowing them to fade so you can look younger and more beautiful.

Wrinkles are created by the repeated movement of facial expressions. When you frown or smile, your facial muscles contract, making a temporary line on your skin. As your skin ages, repeatedly making facial expressions can cause these lines to become more permanent, creating wrinkles. Xeomin specifically helps to smooth the moderate to severe frown lines that appear between your eyebrows.

Xeomin is very similar to the BOTOX® procedure in that it smoothes away wrinkles by relaxing facial muscles. This FDA-approved neurotoxin is injected into the face and will block the chemicals that cause the muscle contractions that create frown lines. Xeomin reduces the appearance of the wrinkles between your eyebrows so you can have a younger appearance. Xeomin prevents muscle contraction by inhibiting neurotransmitter release. When used to control pain, Xeomin is injected in hyperactive, sore muscles. The ingected muscles than relax and feel better. This is called a therapuetic off-label use of Xeomin. Therapeutic Xeomin injections are effective in decreasing headaches and controlling pain in muscles. At the same time muscles relax, wrinkles will disapper. How? By inhibiting muscle contraction, the skin will lay smooth achieving a nice esthetic result.
